Hi, I'm Erin!
I'm a pediatric occupational therapist and infant development coach with a passion for helping parents support ideal motor development in their baby's first year of life.
WHY?
Because all those early motor skills from newborn to walking are literally building a strong foundation for future success across ALL areas of development.
What isn’t well understood or acknowledged is that skipped motor milestones in infancy can lead to gaps in brain development and learning struggles that may not be seen for years to come.
While skipped milestones in infancy are not the only reason a child may have later developmental and learning struggles, as an OT and specialist in the field, I can confidently say,
”An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure” when it comes to infant motor development.
It is so much easier, AND FUN, to support ideal motor development during infancy than it is to try and fill in the gaps later on. So, it just makes sense for parents to be proactive about their baby’s motor development.
This is why I created Motor & Mind Baby! We offer a variety of ways for parents to access expert guidance and support and go from confusion and worry to confidence and joy as they help their baby THRIVE developmentally.
